Valorant Beta Key: How to get a Valorant Beta Key for release date
According to the latest news from developers Riot Games, an open Valorant beta is unlikely to happen before the game’s Summer 2020 release date. The good news is that the Valorant closed beta will run for a good amount of time, meaning it will be worth trying to grab a key this week. The first chance to do so was the recently held Valorant Twitch Rivals event, which was hosted on April 3, 2020.
And Riot Games has confirmed that this won’t be the only time gamers will have a chance at grabbing a Valorant Beta Key as the testing kicks off.
HOW TO GET A VALORANT BETA KEY?
The Valorant Beta Key process has been set up as a partnership between Riot Games and Twitch.
This means that you will need to register for a Riot account and then link that account with one you have with Twitch.
The next stage includes watching specific Valorant streams highlighted on Twitch for the opportunity to be entitled to Closed Beta access.
Gamers will need to be watching one of the streams with a Drops Enabled tag assigned to it.
And it should also be noted that a limited number of Closed Beta keys will be available to those tuning in, so not everyone will be guaranteed a chance.

This is what happened on April 3, with thousands of beta keys released by Riot Games during the Twitch event.
It should also be noted that only certain regions will be able to join the Valorant closed beta when it kicks off next week.
This means you will need to be playing from either Canada, United States, Russia, Turkey, or Europe.
Most gamers who want to join the closed beta have probably already completed this part of the process and are now waiting for their next chance to watch on Twitch.
And the good news is that this will be happening soon, making sure there will be plenty of people playing Valorant on Tuesday, April 7.
Valorant Game Director Joe Ziegler confirmed as much on Twitter this week, telling fans after the Twitch Rivals event: “It has been an exciting day so far! For those of you who have access, congratulations! For those who haven’t by the end of the stream day, don’t be discouraged!
“A lot more drops are coming on when we go live April 7th and will continue to roll out following April 7th.”
So it looks like even if you miss out on what happens this week more chances will be coming your way in the coming months.
The next big Valorant Showcase is being held on Tuesday, April 7, which is when the second Twitch Rivals event will be going live.
This is likely when more Valorant Beta Keys will be available to earn through Twitch Drops.
“Twitch Rivals will showcase 5v5 matches from content creators who got a chance to try out VALORANT and recorded their perspective,” a message on the official site reads.
“The /TwitchRivals broadcast will jump from perspective to perspective to showcase the full match.
“Select Twitch streams will be eligible for Drops beginning on April 3, so link your Twitch Account & Riot Games Account for the opportunity to get exclusive Closed Beta Access starting on April 7th. Look for the “Drops Enabled” tag, as well as the “Drops are enabled! Continue watching” text below the stream for verified Drops enabled channels.”
